Here is a picture I took of Josh this morning while he was watching Sesame Street. He was so involved in Elmo’s world, that he didn’t even realize I took his picture. It is so funny because he put his glasses on himself (they are upside down) and got his pacifier out of his bed (he thought I wouldn’t notice, but he knows paci is only for bedtime). Anyway, funny picture for the day!
There’s just over 48 hours until I head out to the first annual Mission Nicaragua mission trip. When I first decided to go (back before the Romeros even left) I didn’t realize that the first time a church runs a mission trip to a new place, it takes much more planning than subsequent trips. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to help plan as much as I would have liked, due to my T&S workload. In fact, I did good to make it to the majority of the planning meetings.
Leann and I started getting my suitcase ready last night. Brent came over to do some work while I picked out my clothes. After picking everything out, I went back to the office to do some work, and my great wife proceeded to pack most of my stuff. I still have a little left to pack Thursday night.
I was initially going to take some web design magazines, business books and my laptop. Instead, I decided to take a week long T&S break while I’m on the mission trip. No business reading and definitely no laptop. Not that I would have tons of time to do any work, but knowing me, I would be tempted to stay up way too late working on web design stuff on my laptop.
So now I need to go through my books at home and pick some out that I haven’t read. I have not organized them much since we moved in last year. If I can’t find some unread ones I already own without too much effort, I’ll probably go buy some used fiction books.
Anyone have any good fiction books to recommend that have been out long enough to be at a used book store?

PlaceOfPrayer.org
Late last night, I finished preparing and launching PlaceOfPrayer.org with the help of Tamie Ross, online editor of the Christian Chronicle. (Note: This is not meant to imply sponsorship or even approval by the Christian Chronicle, merely that Tamie works for the Chronicle and helped me launch this site.)
PlaceOfPrayer.org is an online ministry designed so that you may ask for, receive and intercede for others through prayer. So if you have a need for prayer in your life, please swing by PlaceOfPrayer.org. You can pray for others and submit your own prayer requests.
You may recall that I mentioned the site awhile back. It was unfinished, and is now completed and ready for plenty of prayer requests. Feel free to forward this information to anyone who might be interested.

Matching hats
Josh actually let me put his Superman hat on him and wore it for awhile. Probably because I was wearing my blue Superman hat also.

The Priebes at our house around Christmas 2005. Thanks to Brent for taking the picture.
